Richard (plus Elspeth & Neva by Proxy) - Hello

Date : Wed 28 Sep 2005   Contact Email:Richard.holm@ntlworld.com

Having now come out of deep undercover work for M15 out in Azebyjan, I am back into the real world. I thought it would be a good idea to talk to myself via the medium of Blog.
Phil, I seem to recall in the past you talking to yourself frequently (despite other people being in the room) and Kate there must have been times when you have felt that you were talking to yourself.

ps. I know some good cake recipies if anyone is interested.

Well I thought I should make an entry in the guest book. I am hoping there will be some pictures added to this site of Phoebe in a bridesmaids dress and KT and I with the giggles drunk in a corner!!!! Looking forward to it.
Phil make sure you are all there on time and in one piece - please don't forget Phoebe as Kate will never fit in to her dress!
Love you all.

Kate Crofts - We have the same name!

Date : Wed 12 Jan 2005   Contact Email:katecr@crownltd.com.au

Hi, my name is Kate Crofts too. I did a "google" of my name to see if any of my old articles came up and found this site.
I am Australian, but my ancestors are from England.

It is strange to read about a Kate Crofts whose life is so different from my own. You have a beautiful family and I wish you all the best.

Kate

Mum - About those cakes...

Date : Thu 28 Oct 2004   Contact Email:janetb46@tiscali.co.uk

I've responded to Phil's blog and now here's a quick response to yours, Kate. The cakes were such fun to make and VERY green!! I enjoyed all of it - especially making the pumpkins and spooks out of Phoebe's rice paper, with art work carried out using a sugar pen.Phoebe couldn't wait to try one, but I haven't heard yet if you and Phil enjoyed yours-and what about the pictures of the tadpoles? All Phoebe's idea; no prompting by grown-ups.We thought they were wonderful (but then, we are soppy grandparents a lot of the time). We know she isn't Van Gogh, but as we like her ears, that's probably just as well.

MIL - But they do...

Date : Thu 28 Oct 2004   Contact Email:janetb46@tiscali.co.uk

...stay your babies for ever, that is. "Less work and more worry" is how my mother described her experience of her child becoming adult. As they grow up your children may need you less in some ways, but you still think of them in pretty much the same way.The magic never goes...Or at least, that's my experience.

The Old Folk - A bit late, but...

Date : Fri 22 Oct 2004   Contact Email:janetb46@tiscali.co.uk

...we have been a bit busy this month. However, we took time to read some of Phil's blogs about this and that and wanted to say that we were especially impressed with your summing up of the Iraq situation - oh, and the Bush/Kerry stuff. MIL doesn't really know much about it all and really appreciated the incisive summation. FIL was just impressed - this is hard to achieve, as you know(and he liked the bit about Phoebe and the taste of strawberries a lot, too...). Keep up the good work, please! xxx

Kate Crofts - Family Links

Date : Tue 03 Aug 2004

Hello All, I know this is my site and I could make an entry in my Weblog about this but I thought I'd put it here due to the type of note this is.

Following the two entries below we are trying to put together a family history section for the site, which will trace back Crofts as well as my ancestors (Coopers and Masters). Please keep sending us any info. you've got that might help us link it all together!

Thanks

Kate

I am one of the family of Crofts originating in the Isle of Thanet Kent England, but currently living in London.

I have traced my Crofts back to King Henry 8th time in the mid 1550's. have you done any research in the details of your earlier family?

Hi There, hope you don't mind, I picked the link from Babycentre Kate wanted us to see the pictures of the Cake Baking!! Anyway I couldn't stop there and was intruiged to see all the effort and expertise that had gone into the Website - such a great idea!
Anyway - it's wierd how people's lives can cross - my best friend used to Waitress @ Leez Priory and lives in Braintree - and we both work for the NHS - although a London based PCT - so it was co-incidental to see that you design websites for the Essex Health Authority!!

Anyway keep up the good work, and best of luck with the new baby, not long now!!

Take Care

Hi there,
I have just been exploring your site from a link left on the babycentre board. It's really great to see your baby pics and makes me realise that it ia all getting very close. I was interested in your Gloucester cathedral pics as I live a couple of miles outside Gloucester and used to do lots of school concerts etc in the cathedral.I live in Churchdown and went to Chosen Hill school. I dont know if either of those ring any bells. Anyway, great site and I will visit again.

Maybe I have missed it but how about photos of my aged Aunt Dora on her 90th borthday. She is Phoebe's great grandmother after all??

Kate Towner - Art!

Date : Tue 07 Oct 2003

This is to Phil, to say that I'm glad you got something lasting out of our National Gallery visit.
You're absolutely right in the approach you describe. For myself, I think it's worth getting in the habit of going to a gallery occasionally. Beauty is good for the mind, and educating one's eyes is a good investment.

Di Powley - Being Nosey!

Date : Thu 02 Oct 2003

Just had to have a look and see what Phoebe looks like a year on - haven't seen her since the "naming party" last September. She's a beautiful little girl but guess you know that already!!
Pleased to be kept up to date by Janet on all your news. See you, Di

Natalie Hargreaves - Great Site

Visited your site from a link on the Babycentre March 2004 board and found it really interesting, what a great idea. Haven't had chance for a good look yet because I'm supposed to be working!!!! Will definately come back and have a good read.

Of course one could ask why would one would want to write a message to someone who talks to themselves...
